Junior thrower Jonathan Ponce Cuiriz (Kewanee, Ill.) has been named Regent of the Week for the week ending January 21, 2018. Ponce Cuiriz had a career day for the Regents on Friday at the UW-Parkside Ranger Relays. He won the shot put with a personal best throw of 11.05 meters and also took second in the weight throw with a personal best distance of 11.42 meters. His efforts in the shot put and weight throw events currently rank seventh and fifth respectively in the NACC this season.
