Senior quarterback Andrew Perez (West Covina, Calif.) has been named Regent of the Week for the week ending September 11, 2016. In just his second game as Rockford's starting quarterback, Perez completed 10 passes for 127 yards and 4 touchdowns. All four of his touchdowns came in the first half as he saw limited action in the second half attempting only four passes. Through 2 weeks Perez leads the NACC and is tenth among all NCAA Division III quarterbacks with 7 passing touchdowns and 0 interceptions. He also leads the NACC and is ranked 23rd nationally in passing efficiency.
