Freshman forward Taylor May (East Moline, Ill.) has been named Regent of the Week for the week ending February 5, 2017. May nearly averaged a double-double as the Regents went 1-1 this past week. She began with an impressive road performance against Benedictine recording her fifth double-double of the season with 15 points, 10 rebounds and 2 steals. She then helped lead Rockford to a 72-54 win over Edgewood on Saturday scoring a game-high 21 points with 8 rebounds, 3 assists, 1 steal and 1 block. For the week the freshman averaged 18 points, 9 rebounds, 1.5 assists, 1.5 steals and 0.5 blocks.
