Sophomore Jamie Buechner (Island Lake, Ill.) has been named Regent of the Week for the week ending January 17, 2016. Buechner competed in both the 200 meter and 60 meter dashes on Saturday at the UW-Platteville Open. She broke the Rockford University school record in the preliminary round of the 60 meter dash with a time of 8.71 seconds before placing fifth in the finals with a time of 8.85 seconds. Buechner also finished eighth in the 200 meter crossing the finish line in 30.07 seconds.
