Senior volleyball player Nicole Lawler (Pearl City, Ill./Pearl City) has been named Regent of the Week for the week of September 17th through the 23rd. Lawler had an excellent week for the Regents recording a double-double in three out of the team's four matches during the week. Lawler started the week off with back-to-back 15 kill, 19 dig performances against Concordia Chicago and Grinnell. In Rockford's 5-set win over Grinnell, Lawler also added 2 solo blocks and 3 block assists. The senior added her third double-double against Central College on Saturday with 10 kills and 12 digs. For her efforts over the weekend, Lawler was named to the Grinnell College Volleyball Tournament All-Tournament Team. Throughout the week Lawler tallied 46 kills, 57 digs, 3 service aces, 6 solo blocks and 5 block assists.
