Junior catcher Candace Kipp has been named Regent of the Week for the week ending May 8, 2022. Kipp had at least one hit and drove in multiple runs in each of Rockford's two games this past week. She opened with a 1-for-3 performance and two RBIs in game one against Mount Mary. Kipp then exploded for two home runs, three RBIs and three runs scored in the nightcap. Her two home run performance also tied the school's single-game home run record. For the week, Kipp hit .500 with a .571 on-base percentage and a 1.500 slugging percentage. She also drove in five runs and scored three more.
