Freshman forward Katie Paredes has been named Regent of the Week for the week ending Sunday, January 8, 2023. Paredes scored in double-figures in both games this past week and helped lead the Regents to their first NACC win of the season. She opened with a game-high 14 points on 63.6% shooting, 2 rebounds, 1 assist and 1 steal in a 53-45 road win at Marian University. Paredes then tallied a game-high 13 points, 2 rebounds, 1 assist and 1 steal against the defending NACC Champions, Wisconsin Lutheran College. For the week, Paredes averaged 13.5 points on 50% shooting, 2 rebounds, 1 assist and 1 steal.
