Senior guard Charles Burnell has been named Regent of the Week for the week ending Sunday, February 12, 2023. Burnell helped keep Rockford's NACC Tournament hopes alive with a pair of victories this past week. He opened with 17 points on 7-of-11 shooting, 4 assists and 3 rebounds in a crucial 86-81 win over Aurora. He then added 11 points on 4-of-6 shooting, 6 assists, 3 rebounds and 2 steals in the Regents' 85-42 win against Maranatha on Senior Day. For the week, Burnell averaged 14 points on 64.7% shooting from the floor and 66.7% shooting from three-point range, 5 assists, 3 rebounds and 1 steal.
