Senior catcher Candace Kipp has been named Regent of the Week for the week ending Sunday, March 5, 2023. Kipp turned in a pair of multi-hit games for the Regents last week. She finished with a .714 batting average, a .778 on-base percentage, an .857 slugging percentage, 5 runs batted in, 3 runs scored and caught all 15 innings in Rockford's two games on Sunday. She went 3-for-4 with 2 RBIs, a run scored, a walk and a stolen base in the Regents' extra innings loss to Drew. Kipp then went 2-for-3 with a double, 3 RBIs, 2 runs scored and a walk against John Carroll.
