Shortstop Jake Bilotta has been named Regent of the Week for the week ending Sunday, May 5, 2024. Bilotta had a hit in all four of Rockford's games as the team's leadoff hitter, including a trio of multi-hit performances and a game-winning walk-off single. He finished 4-for-8 with 2 walks, 5 runs scored, an RBI and 2 doubles in Rockford's sweep of Dominican. Bilotta then went 4-for-5 with 3 runs scored, 2 RBIs and delivered a walk-off single in the bottom of the tenth off the outfield wall in a 7-6 win against #18 Benedictine. He closed out his week by going 2-for-3 with a double and 2 runs scored in game two against the Eagles. For the week Bilotta hit .625 with a .684 on-base percentage and a .813 slugging percentage.
