Senior running back Jack Carey has been named Regent of the Week for the week ending Sunday, November 17, 2024. Jack Carey ended his career with his third straight game of at least 150 yards rushing and his fourth such game this season. Carey ran the ball 32 times for 153 yards (4.8 yards/carry) and 2 touchdowns. He also caught a pass for 15 yards and another score. His 153 rushing yards gives him 1,099 for the season, which makes him only the fourth player in school history to eclipse 1,000 rushing yards in a year. Carey also broke the RU single-season touchdown record (18), points record (110) and had the second most all-purpose yards in a season (1,439). He finished the regular season leading the NACC in rushing yards (1099), rushing touchdowns (13), carries (242), scoring (110), total touchdowns (18), points per game (11.0), all-purpose yards (1,439) and all-purpose yards per game (143.9).Â
