Fond du Lac, Wis.- The Rockford men's golf team returned to action this weekend at the Marian University Fall Invite. The invitational took place in Fond du Lac, Wis. where the first 18 holes were played at Whispering Springs Golf Club and the final 18 holes at Rolling Meadows Golf Club. Rockford had four golfers compete in the event for an eight place finish.
Justin Christiansen (Rockford, Ill.) shot an 84 on Saturday before firing a final round 75 on Sunday to move his way into a tie for 12th place. His final round 75 is the lowest by a Regent golfer this year. The 12th place finish is the lowest by any Regent this year as well.
Francis Souhala (Rockford, Ill.) posted a pair of 86's to finish in 32nd place. Alex Schleich (Freeport, Ill.) posted his lowest finish of the year with an 87 in the final round to move into a tie for 36th place overall. Aren Boxleitner (Rockford, Ill.) rounded out the scores for the Regents finishing in 40th place.
Rockford will return to action Sunday, September 20 and Monday, September 21 at the Wisconsin Lutheran College Invitational in Hartford, Wis.
