GREEN LAKE, Wis.- The Rockford University golf team returned to action Friday and Saturday to compete in the Fall Midwest Classic at The Courses of Lawsonia. The tournament consisted of 31 teams and lasted 36 holes. Rockford had four golfers compete at the event and finished in 28th place.

Leading Rockford once again was Justin Christiansen (Rockford, Ill.) posting scores of 80 and 81 to put him in a tie for 62nd place. Aren Boxleitner (Rockford, Ill.) recorded his best finish of his collegiate career with scores of 83 and 80 to finish in a tie for 71st place.

Rounding out the scores for the Regents were Francis Souhala (Rockford, Ill.) and Alex Schleich (Freeport, Ill.). Souhala finished in 146th place and Schleich finished in 153rd place respectively.

The Rockford University golf team will return to action Sunday, October 4 and Monday, October 5 in the MSOE Invitational at Grand Geneva Resort in Lake Geneva, Wis.
