Women's Golf Finishes its Final Tune-Up before the NACC Championship

KANSASVILLE, Wis. - The Rockford University women's golf team completed the final round of the Midwest Region Fall Classic on Saturday. The quality of the competition and the difficulty of the course made it an excellent measuring stick for the ladies as they prepare for next week's NACC Championship. Rockford University freshman Natalie Threatt and junior Paige Bukoski each played in both rounds of the tournament and each improved their scores from Friday to Saturday. Threatt finished in a tie for 73rd and Bukoski finished in a tie for 145th out of 194 total golfers.

  • Natalie Threatt shot an 84 on Saturday, which was a two-stroke improvement from Friday's round. She also moved up 8 spots in the standings to finish in a tie for 73rd with a two-day total of 170.
  • Paige Bukoski fired a 90 on Saturday which was an incredible nine shots lower than her round on Friday. Bukoski moved up 15 places in the standings to finish in a tie 145th with a two-day total of 189.

The RU women's golf team will play the first two rounds of the 2023 NACC Championship next Saturday and Sunday at Aldeen Golf Club. Tee times and parings will be announced in the coming days.
