KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- The Rockford University men's basketball team was honored for their academic achievements by the National Association of Basketball coaches (NABC) on Wednesday afternoon. Seven Regents were honored by the NABC Honors Court recognition, while also being honored as a team claiming the Team Excellence Award. 

The NABC presents the academic awards annually to recognize excellence in the classroom across all levels of collegiate men's basketball. More than 2,300 student-athletes earned Honors Court recognition during the 2025-26 academic year, and more than 400 programs received Team Academic Excellence Awards.

The Team Academic Excellence Award honors programs that recorded a team GPA of 3.0 or higher during the 2025-26 academic year, while the NABC Honors Court recognizes junior, senior, and graduate student-athletes who earned a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher.
