DUBUQUE, Iowa -- The Rockford University women's cross country team competed at the Bob Schultz Invite at the Dubuque Soccer Complex and placed fourth on Friday.

Brianna Torres recorded a top-20 finish, placing 18th with a 5K time of 21:32.2. Courtney Murphy finished 25th individually, crossing the finish line in 21:54.4, while Haylee West finished with a time of 22:31.9 to place 32nd. Donna Whiteside and Brooke Lindsey placed 50th and 52nd, respectively. Whiteside ran the race in 25:17.9, while Lindsey finished with a time of 25:38.6 in her Regent debut. All five Regents recorded personal records in the 5K to open the season.

Loras College won the invite with 20 points, as Keelee Leitzen led the way by winning the 5K with a time of 18:22.3.

The Regents will return to action on Saturday, Sept. 12, at the Spartan Classic at 9:30 a.m.
