Annaka Bartz is entering her first year of coaching with the Rockford University softball team. She will be pursuing her masters degree while on staff with the team.
Bartz was a transfer from Rock Valley Community College, where she was a Second Team All-Mention her Freshman year. She would go on to her Sophomore year and finish as a Most Outstanding Player award winner in both offense and defense for the national tournament. She ended her junior college career with the Golden Eagles on the All-American list.
Coming to the Regents, Bartz made an immediate impact both years. She finished with a .353 batting average, hitting 11 home runs and driving in 43 RBI's in her career. She landed on the first team All-Conference list in her final year at RU.
Bartz graduated from Rockford University with a major in Human Development and minor in Psychology. Bartz is a native of Rockton, Ill.
