Justin Hallberg

Justin Hallberg was hired as an assistant baseball coach and the director of gameday operations in January 2024. His primary coaching duties with baseball will be working with the team's catchers and assisting with hitting and base running. He will also oversee gameday operations and management for all of Rockford University's home athletic events. 

Hallberg most recently served as the graduate assistant for the athletic department, with his primary duties involving gameday operations. In this role, he helped coordinate all of Rockford University's home athletic events. His responsibilities included: scheduling student workers, communicating with and greeting officials and visiting teams, managing the event and assisting with any issues that arise. Hallberg also served as an assistant baseball coach during that time frame.

Prior to becoming a graduate assistant, Hallberg attended Morton College before transferring to Rockford University. He spent a combined four years playing baseball in the NJCAA and NCAA. Hallberg was awarded the Dr. Hans Wolpe Memorial Award his junior year at Rockford University, which is presented to the male athlete with the highest GPA among his respective class.

Hallberg earned both his bachelor's degree in Kinesiology with a concentration in Sport Management and a minor in Business Administration and his MBA from Rockford University.
