Kevin Diemer

Kevin Diemer was hired as an assistant coach for the Rockford University men's basketball program in June 2025. Diemer joins the Regents' coaching staff following a highly-decorated playing career at Rockford University.

The Regents saw an immense amount of team success during Diemer's time in an RU uniform. Rockford posted three straight winning seasons over his final three years, including its first conference championship since 2002-03. The Regents also made four trips to the conference tournament, hosted and won a trio of postseason games, captured the 2021 NACC South Division Tournament Title, and advanced to the NACC Tournament Championship game for the first and only time in program history.

Diemer ended his collegiate career as one of the top players in the 70+ year history of the Rockford University men's basketball program. He was voted All-NACC three times, including a pair of first team all-conference selections and the NACC South Division Player of the Year. Diemer was also tabbed as both a D3hoops.com All-Region performer and the Rockford University Male Athlete of the Year twice during his career. He earned a school record seven NACC Player of the Week honors and was also named to the D3hoops.com Team of the Week once. Diemer ended his career seventh in school history in scoring (1,575) and sixth in rebounds (836). He is also only one of six players in program history to finish his career with at least 1,500 points and 800 rebounds.

Diemer graduated from Rockford University with a bachelor's degree in Sport Management and an MBA.Â
