Senior guard Mallorie Getzelman (Byron, Ill.) has been named Regent of the Week for the week ending November 20, 2016. Getzelman opened the season with a pair of monster performances to help lead the Regents to a 1-1 week. She began her year by dropping 30 points on 10-for-19 shooting including going 3-for-4 from beyond the arc and 7-for-8 at the free throw line. She also added 4 rebounds, 3 steals and 1 assist. The senior followed that up with a career-high 33 points on 10-for-22 shooting and tied the NACC single-game free throw percentage record going a perfect 12-for-12 at the line to help lead Rockford past Eureka. She narrowly missed her first double-double of the season by adding 8 rebounds, 3 steals and 1 assist. For the week Getzelman averaged 31.5 points, 6.0 rebounds, 3.0 steals and 1.0 assist, while shooting 48.8% from the floor and 95% from the free throw line.
