Senior pitcher David Camacho (Elk Grove, Ill.) has been named Regent of the Week for the week ending March 12, 2017. Camacho fired a complete game to propel the Regents to a 2-1 victory over Defiance. The senior tossed all 9 innings allowing just 5 hits and no earned runs, while striking out 6 and walking none. Through his first two starts of the season, Camacho is 2-0 with a 1.20 ERA and 11 strikeouts compared to just 3 walks.
