Freshman Kayla Barthels (Fort Worth, Texas) has been named Regent of the Week for the week ending April 30, 2017. Barthels set a pair of personal bests over the weekend at the Beloit Relays and came within 0.02 meters of tying the school record in the triple jump. She took fifth place in the long jump with a personal best leap of 4.92 meters and sixth in the triple jump with a personal best distance of 9.97 meters.
