Junior running back Matthew Botello (Whittier, Calif./Pioneer) has been named Regent of the Week for the week ending September 30th, 2012. Botello had his second straight 100-yard rushing performance on Saturday when he carried the ball 17 times for 109 yards. The junior is averaging 6.4 yards per carry through four games in the 2012 season, ranking him second in the Northern Athletics Conference. Botello currently sits as the top rusher in the NAC so far this season compiling 418 yards on the ground.
