DUBUQUE, Iowa -The Regents Volleyball team dropped 3 straight sets to Loras College (25-14, 16-25, 25-21) on Thursday night. Errors did the Regents in early in the match and they were never able to recover. Rockford committed 16 attack errors and 7 service errors in the three sets and the Duhawks were able to capitalize on the mistakes.
The Regents offense was led by senior outside hitter Nicole Lawler (Pearl City, Ill. / Pearl City). Lawler finished with a team high 9 kills to go along with 10 digs. Junior outside hitter Laina Scheri (Belvidere, Ill. / Belvidere) recorded 3 kills to go along with a match high 5 service aces and 10 digs.
The Regents return to action Saturday, October 6th at 1 p.m. when they host MSOE in the Seaver Center on the campus of Rockford College. Rockford College along with the Northern Athletic Conference will be teaming up in an attempt to "Dig For a Cure" to raise awareness and money to help fight breast cancer.
