MILWAUKEE, Wis. - Despite being on defense for the majority of the match and being outshot by a large margin, the Rockford University women's soccer team was able to keep the match close and give themselves a chance. However, the ladies just could not find enough offense as they fell 3-0 on the road to Wisconsin Lutheran College.
The Rockford defense was the story in Saturday's match. Rockford goalie Alyssa Nicholson (Braidwood, Ill./Reed-Custer) continues to play well for the Regents. She faced ten shots and made seven saves. Nicholson now has 77 saves this season which ranks her second in the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference.
The women's soccer team will be back at home on Wednesday, October 2nd against Benedictine University. The match is scheduled to start at 4:00 p.m. at Sam Greeley Field.
