MILWAUKEE, Wis. - The Regents volleyball team begin a three game road trip on Tuesday night with a visit to Wisconsin Lutheran College for a match against the Warriors. Rockford entered the week looking to pick up at least one more win prior to the conclusion of the season on Saturday. However, Tuesday was not Rockford's night as the Regents fell in straight sets (25-11, 25-14, 25-17) to the Warriors.
Offensively Rockford was led by the trio of Alex Storey (Dexter, Mich.), Marissa Plock (German Valley, Ill.) and Krista Beach (Ashton, Ill.). Storey led the Regents with 4 kills while Plock and Beach each tallied 3 kills.
Defensively the Regents had multiple players contribute. Junior Taylor Rossi (Ingleside, Ill.) recorded 11 digs to go along with her 13 assists for her tenth double-double of the season. Madison Lanquist (Rockford, Ill.) and Krista Beach were the other two Regents to hit double-figures in digs with 11 and 14 respectively. At the net Rockford was led by the duo of Amanda Korte (Davis, Ill.) and Alex Storey. Korte and Storey each tallied 2 block assists with Korte also adding a solo block.
The RU volleyball team returns to the court on Friday, October 23 at Edgewood College. The match will begin at 7:00 p.m.
