MILWAUKEE, Wis. - The Rockford University women's soccer team (2-11-0) fell to a very good opponent in the Finlandia University Lions (10-1-1). Finlandia jumped out to an early lead scoring 6 in the first half, before scoring 3 more in the second to go on to win by a final score of 9-0.

• The Lions came out on fire as Addie Budzinski notched the first two goals for Finlandia in the 13th and 19th minute.
• Alexia Gonzalez was the other Lion who tallied two goals in the first half.
• The Lions outshot the Regents 20-0 in the first half to go into the intermission up 6-0.
• In the second half it was all Kirsten L'Esperance for Finlandia as she scored all three of the team's second half goals.
• Finlandia went on to win by a final score of 9-0.

• Andrea Escobar (Huntley, Ill.) and Victoria Rodgers (Bakersfield, Calif.) were the only Regents to register a shot on the day.
• Samantha Bergeron (Mandeville, La.) saved 15 of her 24 shots she faced.

The Rockford University women's soccer team returns to the field on Thursday, October 18 when it travels to take on North Central of Minnesota. The match is scheduled for 3:15 PM.
