MILWAUKEE, Wis. - The Rockford University women's soccer team (2-11-0) fell to a very good opponent in the Finlandia University Lions (10-1-1). Finlandia jumped out to an early lead scoring 6 in the first half, before scoring 3 more in the second to go on to win by a final score of 9-0.
- The Lions came out on fire as Addie Budzinski notched the first two goals for Finlandia in the 13th and 19th minute.
- Alexia Gonzalez was the other Lion who tallied two goals in the first half.
- The Lions outshot the Regents 20-0 in the first half to go into the intermission up 6-0.
- In the second half it was all Kirsten L'Esperance for Finlandia as she scored all three of the team's second half goals.
- Finlandia went on to win by a final score of 9-0.
The Rockford University women's soccer team returns to the field on Thursday, October 18 when it travels to take on North Central of Minnesota. The match is scheduled for 3:15 PM.
