Rockford's Jared Johnson (Miami, Fla.) would block the extra point attempt to keep Lakeland's lead at six.
  • Rockford would however retake the lead on its final possession of the first half. The Regents went 55 yards on 13 plays and used nearly six and a half minutes off the clock.
  • The drive was capped off by a 6-yard touchdown pass from Mack to Hausladen, the duo's second of the half. Cody Kupsik (Woodstock, Ill.) connected on the extra point to give Rockford a 13-12 lead heading into the half.
  • The second half got off to a great start as the Regents scored on the first possession of the third quarter. The drive went 57 yards on 7 plays to give Rockford a 20-12 lead.
  • Delayno Mack connected on three huge pass plays on the drive. The first came on a third down when Mack found Liam Joyce (Harvard, Ill.) for 30 yards to take the ball down to the Lakeland 25-yard line. Mack then hit Joey Owens (Ottawa, Ill.) for 16 yards before finding Joyce in the end zone for a 7-yard touchdown.
  • Rockford continued to pile on the points scoring on its very next possession. Delayno Mack went 3-for-3 on the drive including a 51-yard touchdown pass to Joey Owens to extend the lead to 27-12.
  • Two possessions later, Rockford would take advantage of a Jallen Bashford (Fairbury, Ill.) interception to tack on three more points. The Rockford drive covered 43 yards on 11 plays and was capped off by a 33-yard Cody Kupsik field goal.
  • Rockford would seal the win on the very next drive when Ja'uan Joiner intercepted his second pass of game, and took it took 38 yards to the end zone, giving his team a commanding 37-12 lead.
