ROCKFORD, Ill. - The Rockford University men's basketball team (3-5) picked up its third consecutive win as it handled the Knox College Prairie Fire 90-59 on Wednesday night. It was a tight match at the half as Rockford led 37-31 but the Regents came unleased in the second to go off for 53 points. RU shot 54.4% from the field compared to just 33.8% for Knox. The Regents also made the most of the turnovers they forced as they scored 21 points just off turnovers.
- In the opening minutes of the game Rockford and Knox were exchanging buckets with neither team pulling away.
- Down 8-6, the Regents went on a 16-2 run to take a commanding 22-10 lead with 9:54 to play in the half. During that run Will Adams (Chicago, Ill.) accounted for five points while Taylor Krocker (Portage, Wis.) added four more.
- Despite Knox attempting to fight its way back into the game the Regents would not relinquish its lead. Rockford went into the half up 37-31.
- Will Adams led the Regents at the half with 7 points.
- Rockford scorched the nets in the second half as RU came out and took a 50-37 lead just four minutes into the half.
- The Regents kept letting the ball fly as Rockford converted 7-of-14 shots from beyond the arc in the second half alone.
- RU saw its biggest lead of the night come with 4:33 left in the game as the Regents were up by 31 points after a Christian Payne (Yorkville, Ill.) jumper.

- This is the first 3-game win streak for the men's team since January of last season.

- Tony Diemer (Rockford, Ill.) led all scorers with 16 points on 5-of-8 shooting including 4-for-5 from deep. Diemer also added 5 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 steals.
- Kevin Diemer (Rockford, Ill.) logged 14 points going 6-for-9 from the field and chalked up 8 board and 2 assists.
- Taylor Krocker went 5-of-6 for 13 points and tallied 4 rebounds, a block and an assist.
