Regents Come Up Empty At MSOE

MILWAUKEE, Wis. - The Rockford University women's soccer team (0-15-1, 0-9-0) lost 8-0 on the road Sunday afternoon to the MSOE Raiders (9-4-2, 6-1-1 NACC). The Raiders scored six goals in the first half and two in the second, en route to their third straight NACC victory.

  • MSOE's Caitie LeVasseur was involved in each of the Raiders' first three goals. LeVasseur scored the first two goals of the match, and then assisted on the third, to give her team a 3-0 lead just under 19 minutes into the match. 
  • The Raiders added goals in the 20th minute, 29th minute and 32nd minute to take a 6-0 advantage into the break. 
  • MSOE then tacked on goals in the 61st and 69th minutes to secure an 8-0 win.

  • Amelia Harper finished the match with 25 saves. It was the fifth time this season that Harper recorded at least 20 saves in match. She is now just 10 saves away from tying the NACC single-season record. 

The RU women's soccer team returns to the field on Wednesday, October 23 at Aurora University. The match has a scheduled start time of 7 PM.
