ROCKFORD, Ill. - The Rockford University men's basketball team (9-10, 7-7 NACC) lost a close matchup 79-78 to Concordia University Wisconsin (12-7, 11-3 NACC). The Regents played hard and kept up with the third place in the NACC Falcons. Both teams were evenly matched the whole game, so close that Rockford shot 50% from the field going 29-58 while Concordia Wisconsin shot 50% from the field going 28-56. The Regents were outstanding from the free-throw line, shooting 85.7%. Jamar Rivera led the Regents in scoring with 26 points and Brandon Emerick added with 17 points. Kivontay Shaw helped the Regents with an impressive 13 assists. Unfortunately, the Regents were not able to hold on late in the game, losing by one point.
- The Falcons started the game scoring the first four points.
- Brandon Emerick gave the Regents a 10-9 lead after hitting two consecutive 3-pointers with 16:04 left in the first half.
- The Regents went on a 3-1 scoring run capped off by Nathaniel Shead's 3-point bucket. Rockford led 17-11 with 14:03 left in the first half.
- Concordia Wisconsin went up 21-17 with 9:32 left to play in the first half by going on a 5-0 scoring run.
- Rockford regained the lead 27-24 with a 6-2 scoring run and 6:51 left in the first half.

- The Falcons took the lead off a layup, going up 34-33.
- Ashton Singleton hit a 3-point jumper to put the Regents back up 36-34 with 1:43 left in the first half.

- Concordia Wisconsin took back the lead 48-47 with 15:22 left in the game.
- Brandon Emerick hit a huge 3-pointer to boost the Regents 55-53 over the Falcons with 13:11 left in the game.

- The Falcons increased its lead 68-61 by going on a 3-1 scoring run with 7:23 left in the game.
- Rockford's Brandon Emerick tied the game at 72-72 by sinking a deep 3-pointer with 3:18 left in the game.
- Kivontay Shaw came through for the Regents making both free-throws taking the lead 74-72 with 2:45 left in the game.
- However, the Falcons regained the lead and sustained it winning 79-78.
- Jamar Rivera finished with a team-high 26 points. He also had 6 rebounds and 2 blocks.
