ROCKFORD, Ill. The Rockford University women's basketball team (4-21, 2-18 NACC) was victorious 84-56 in its final game of the season against Illinois Tech (0-25, 0-20 NACC). Emily Cox stole the show going on a tear with 38 points and breaking the Rockford University single-season made 3-pointers record with 48 on the season after she made five tonight. The Regents collectively played outstanding, out-scoring the Scarlet Hawks in almost every category and holding the lead for the entire game. Other notables for the Regents were Linzy Keller with 22 points and Neve Yerk with a double-double having 10 points and 16 rebounds.

• The Regents came out blazing, scoring the first nine points unanswered. Rockford drained a flurry of three's coming from Katlyn Fiorucci, Emily Cox and Linzy Keller.
• Rockford quickly went up 13-5 on the Scarlet Hawks.
• With 4:10 left in the first quarter, Emily Cox hit a big 3-point basket to increase the lead 16-6 and break the Rockford University single-season made 3-pointers record.
• Emily Cox took control, scoring three more times including an and-1 to end the first quarter up 23-11.
• The second quarter started with a Regents 3-0 scoring run capped off by an Emily Cox 3-pointer to lead 29-11.
• Illinois Tech gained ground with a 4-0 scoring run to be down 29-20 with 5:52 left in the second quarter.
• Rockford traded baskets with Illinois Tech but came out on top 40-30 going into the half.
• The third quarter started with the Regents striking first on a layup from Linzy Keller to make it 42-33.
• Emily Cox sank another 3-point basket to increase the lead 45-36 for the Regents.
• The Regents went on a 10-5 scoring run to close out the third quarter 62-46.
• The fourth quarter started with a 4-2 Rockford scoring run to lead 70-50, creating a large gap.
• Rockford dominated down the stretch, ending the game with a 7-3 scoring run to win 84-56. Emily Cox shut the door for the Regents, scoring a season-high 38 points on the last offensive opportunity Rockford had with her fifth 3-pointer of the night.
