JACKSONVILLE, Ill. - RU pitchers Joseph Kmiec and Logan Streit tossed a combined one-hitter and struck out 11 in Rockford's (4-0) 12-0 win over Robert Morris-Peoria (1-6). One batter later, Christian Garcia smacked his third home run of the season, to make it a 3-0 Rockford lead.
- In the fourth, it was Iszak Mestas and Hunter Fiorito who jump-started the offense with a walk and a single. Troy Tucci then drove in both with a two-run double down the left field line. After a Michael Gunter single moved Tucci to third, Corey Saracco drove him in with a sacrifice fly.
- Rockford would then put the game away with a six-run fifth inning. The Regents loaded the bases with singles from Christian Garcia, Iszak Mestas and Dylan Johnson. Zach Hunter would then drive in the first run of the frame via a sacrifice fly. Hunter Fiorito and Michael Gunter each laced two-run singles into the outfield, before Christian Garcia cracked an RBI double into left, to put the Regents in front 12-0.
