DE PERE, Wis. - The Rockford University women's basketball team (5-4, 2-2 NACC) suffered its first NACC road loss of the season on Saturday, after a 64-46 defeat at the hands of the St. Norbert College Green Knights (6-4, 4-0 NACC). Saturday's contest was perhaps the toughest test of the year for the Regents, as St. Norbert entered the game unbeaten in NACC play and has one of the top defenses in the conference. The Green Knights forced 15 Rockford turnovers and had a decisive 20-5 edge in points off turnovers. Another key stat in Saturday's game came at the free throw line. Rockford was just 5-of-14 at the charity stripe, compared to 12-of-15 for St. Norbert. The top individual performance of the game once again goes to Rockford's Anaya Davis. Davis tallied her sixth straight double-double, with a game-high 23 points and 11 rebounds.

• The Green Knights scored the first five points of the game, to help them jump out to a quick 8-1 lead with 4:40 left in the first quarter. 
• Rockford's Anaya Davis then hit back-to-back buckets to chop the St. Norbert lead back down to just three. 
• However, St. Norbert closed the quarter on a 9-3 run, to take a 17-8 lead into the second. 
• The Regents were able to get back within six early in the period, following a triple off the hands of Natalie Posadas, making it a 19-13 game. 
• With the Green Knights now leading by eight and 5:23 left in the half, St. Norbert closed on a 9-3 run, to enter the break with a 34-20 advantage. 
• Rockford was able to trim the St. Norbert lead down to 11 just over midway through the third, after seven straight points from Anaya Davis. 
• Unfortunately, that was as close as the Regents were able to get for the remainder of the game. 
• St. Norbert would extend its lead to as many as 22 points in the fourth en route to the 64-46 victory.

• Anaya Davis scored exactly half of Rockford's points and tallied her seventh double-double of the season on Saturday. Davis poured in a game-high 23 points on 9-of-11 shooting, a game-high 11 rebounds and 3 steals. She is now leading the NACC in scoring (18.0 ppg) and is third in rebounding (11.3 rpg) and steals (2.7 spg). Her six double-doubles entering today's game was fourth in all of NCAA Division III, with the national leader clocking in with eight double-doubles prior to today.

The Rockford University women's basketball team concludes its three-game road trip next Thursday, December 16 at Mount Mary University. Tip-off is set for 6 PM.
