LOVES PARK, Ill.. - The Rockford University women's soccer team (2-4-0, 1-2-0 NACC) fell to a competitive Edgewood College (1-6-1, 1-2-0 NACC) team in conference play on Wednesday night. It was a very back and forth first half with a good showing from Edgewood, putting together opportunities. However, Rockford put forward a great defensive line and held the score to 0-0 in the first. After the first goal in the second, Rockford was unable to keep in the match, losing 3-0.
- A quiet first half saw some great diving saves by both Morgan Dolphin of Rockford and Mackenzie Jones of Edgewood.
- It was a great battle between sides and shots would be off the mark; both sides were hoping for a lead but couldn't find it to end the first half.
- It would only take 6 minutes into the second half before the Edgewood offense had a great chance on a cross, and found the net off a pair of assists.
- Eight minutes later, Ashley Price found her second goal off an assist, the insurance goal making it 2-0 Eagles.
- Edgewood kept the pressure on, and in the 77th minute, put away a third and final goal that would seal the Regents' fate in this conference matchup.
- Rockford University would do everything they could to avoid a shutout but was met with tough defense to end the match at 3-0.
- Rianna Tovar led the team in shots with 4, 2 of them on goal.
- Samara Tanchuck had 3 shots with 1 on goal.
- Morgan Dolphin had her first appearance in net, she gave up 3 goals but tallied 11 saves to keep the Regents in the game.

The RU women's soccer team heads out to MSOE for a double header with the men's soccer team on Saturday. Game time is set for 1pm.
