ROCKFORD, Ill. - The Rockford University women's basketball team (7-6, 3-4 NACC) were unable to overcome a strong St. Norbert College (9-5, 6-1 NACC) team in a 67-42 loss Saturday afternoon. The Regents were held to 28 percent shooting from the field that held them from the lead nearly the entire game.
Anaya Davis, despite not playing the fourth quarter, still managed to record eight points and nine rebounds in the game, unfortunately breaking her streak of double-double games that has her currently tied for first in the nation with 11 through the team's 14 games.
Da Sani Hannah stepped up late in the game, leading the team in scoring in the fourth quarter with 5 points, she also finished with 6 rebounds, a block, and a steal.
- Both teams traded points to start the game, bringing the score to 11-10 in favor of SNC, Audrina Terhune was the leading scorer for Rockford with 4.
- St. Norbert finished out the quarter on a 7-4 run to take a 18-14 lead into the break, Naynay Clark was the Regent responsible for the last 4 points.
- The Regents pulled within one point after a Natalie Posadas three-pointer and Roshanda Stevens basket to make the score 20-19.
- St. Norbert responded with a 14-0 run through the remaining five minutes of the quarter, taking a 34-19 lead into the half.
- The third quarter saw neither team gain any ground as St. Norbert won the quarter 13-12. Anaya Davis led the scoring with six points for the Regents. St. Norbert was comfortably in front 47-31.
- The game was never in doubt for the fourth quarter, giving a chance for the entire team to get minutes. Da Sani Hannah subbed in for Anaya Davis and recorded all five of her points in the final quarter of play, but the Regents only managed 11 points total compared to St. Norbert's 20, resulting in a final score of 67-42.
- Anaya Davis tied for the team-high in points with 8 and grabbed 9 rebounds. She also had 2 assists.
- Naynay Clark also had 8 points and recorded a rebound.
- Da Sani Hannah scored 5 points and grabbed 6 rebounds including 4 offensive rebounds. Hannah also had a block and a steal.
- Natalie Posadas recorded 4 steals and finished with 2 rebounds and 2 assists.

The RU women's basketball team will play its third straight home game against conference foe Benedictine next Tuesday, January 18th. Tip-off is scheduled for 7pm.
