Rockford Gives Up 28 Second-Half Points in Loss to CUW

ROCKFORD, Ill. - The Rockford University football team led after the first half of the 2022 homecoming game, but ultimately gave up 28 second half points, losing to the CUW Falcons 42-21. Both offenses were very similar by the end of the contest in terms of yards, but Rockford gave up a total of 108 yards in penalties, awarding the Falcons 3 first downs from those penalties as well. • CUW came back down the field and managed to score in under four minutes to bring the score back to 7-7.

  • Coming out of the half, Rockford couldn't get anything going offensively, and the defense failed to hold back the CUW offensive attack.
