LOVES PARK, Ill. - The Rockford University men's soccer team dropped its final home match of the season on Saturday afternoon, 3-1 to the Wisconsin Lutheran College Warriors. The Regents and Warriors traded penalty kick goals midway through the first half, before WLC added a late score and took a 2-1 advantage into the break. Wisconsin Lutheran tacked on an insurance goal late in the match en route to the 3-1 win. The Warriors really separated themselves in the second half, when they outshot Rockford 17-5, including a 7-1 edge in shots on goal.
- Wisconsin Lutheran broke the scoreless tie in the 19th minute, when Jason Cano found the back of the net on a penalty kick.
- Rockford then earned a penalty kick of its own off a WLC penalty in the box at the 22:43 mark. Joshua De Avila converted the attempt and knotted the match at 1-1.
- The score remained tied until Wisconsin Lutheran's Victor Moreno scored an unassisted goal in the 36th minute to give his team a 2-1 lead heading into the half.
- WLC was able to add an insurance goal in the 81st minute by Joseph Raasch to seal the 3-1 victory.
