LOVES PARK, Ill. - The Rockford University women's soccer team fell 5-0 to the first place Illinois Tech Scarlet Hawks in the season finale. The Regents finished the season with a record of 4-13-0 overall and 1-12 in the NACC, they finished 13th in the NACC standings. The Scarlet Hawks took charge of this match leading in shots (25-1), shots on goal (10-0) and corner kicks (12-1). The Regents did lead in saves (5-0), but IIT was able to take over scoring 3 goals in the first half and 2 in the second to walk away with a 5-0 win over the Regents.
- The Scarlet Hawks got things going early with a goal in just the 10th minute, with a goal by Allison Murray to put her team up 1-0.
- IIT threatened again in the 32nd minute with a shot on goal, but Kaeleigh Taylor was able to deny the chance for the Regents.
- Illinois Tech added on to its lead with goals in the 34th and 40th minutes to put themselves up 3-0 over Rockford going into the half.
- The Scarlet Hawks fired 7 different shots towards the Regent net to start the half, but none were able to find the back of the net.
- Illinois Tech did add on again in the 62nd minute with a goal from Kenzie Tokuchi to increase the lead to 4-0 for the Scarlet Hawks.
- The Regents were able to get their first shot of the match in the 81st minute, coming from Silia Banza, but her attempt was blocked.
- The Scarlet Hawks scored once again in the 89th minute to go up 5-0 and take the match from the Regents.
