DE PERE, Wis. - The Rockford University women's soccer team dropped a tough match 3-1 on the road Sunday afternoon to the St. Norbert College Green Knights. The Regents and Green Knights were scoreless at the half, but an RU red card late in the first half forced Rockford to play down a person over the final 45+ minutes of the match. However, despite all of that, the Regent defense was still able to hold its own against one of the top teams in the NACC, led by goalkeeper Kaeleigh Taylor. The Regents were outshot 20-3 in the match and Taylor finished with 10 saves, but it was not enough, as Rockford fell 3-1.

• The Regents played an excellent first half and held St. Norbert scoreless over the first 45 minutes of play. 
• RU keeper Kaeleigh Taylor was outstanding in the net, making 6 first half saves. 
• Unfortunately, Rockford was issued a red card in the 43rd minute, which forced the Regents to play down a person for the remainder of the match. 
• The Green Knights took advantage with goals in the 46th, 57th and 79th minutes to take a commanding 3-0 lead. 
• Rianna Tovar was able to provide a little magic late in the match with her eighth goal of the season. Tovar was assisted by Daisy Martinez on the goal in the 85th minute.
• However, the Regents were held scoreless the remainder of the way and fell 3-1 to the Green Knights.

• Rianna Tovar needed just one shot to score her eighth goal of the season. Tovar is currently tied for fifth in the NACC in goals scored.
• Kaeleigh Taylor added 10 more saves to her season total on Sunday. Taylor's 87 saves is tied for the third most in the NACC.
