ROCKFORD, Ill. - The Rockford University men's basketball team put up an impressive 96-70 win over the visiting Martin Luther Knights.
Kevin Diemer led the way for the Regents with a season-high 32 points on an incredible 92.9% shooting and six rebounds. Diemer passed both Steve Leathers for the 15th most points in program history (1,161) and his brother Tony Diemer for the 10th most rebounds in program history (680). Overall, the Regents had their best shooting performance of the season, connecting on 55.1% on their shot attempts (38-69) and 44.8% of their three-point attempts (13-29). Defensively, the Regents held the Knights to just 34.4% shooting and 34.8% from beyond the arc. Rockford's hot shooting performance and solid defense lead to the Regents' first 4-0 start since the 2000-01 season.
