Ten Regents Score as Rockford Rolls Past Mount Mary

MILWAUKEE, Wis. - The Rockford University women's basketball team opened its 2023 season with a convincing 66-50 road win over Mount Mary on Wednesday night. Nia Wilkerson drained a three-pointer on the Regents' first shot attempt of the season, and Rockford never looked back. The Regents did not trail at any point in the game and held a double-digit lead throughout most of the evening. Ten different Regents scored against the Blue Angles, led by ten each from Tyra Clark and D'Asia Washington. Rockford also dominated the glass, outrebounding Mount Mary 52-34, which helped lead to a 36-16 advantage in points in the paint and a 14-2 edge in second chance points. The victory gives Rockford its fourth straight win over Mount Mary.
