Regents Handle Sabercats on Senior Day

ROCKFORD, Ill. - The Rockford University men's basketball team dominated the Maranatha Baptist Sabercats in an 85-42 win on Senior Day. The Regents controlled almost every statistical category including bench points (37-5), fastbreak points (14-0), and points off turnovers (24-4) to name a few. Off the court, results also went the Regents way as multiple conference games aided the Rockford postseason run. Losses by Aurora and Edgewood today have the Regents tied for the sixth and final spot in the NACC tournament. Rockford doesn't play, but with games across the conference next Tuesday, the playoff picture will become much clearer heading into next Saturday when the Regents visit Illinois Tech.
