Andrik Vidaurri has been named the NACC Men's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week. Vidaurri is the first Regent to receive an award from the NACC this season and is just the third goalie in program history to be selected NACC Defensive Player of the Week.
Andrik Vidaurri recorded a pair of shutouts this past week to help lead Rockford to a 2-0 start in NACC play. He began the week with a trio of saves in the Regents' 1-0 win over Concordia Chicago. He then tallied a season-high 5 saves in another 1-0 win on Saturday against Wisconsin Lutheran. Vidaurri totaled 8 saves in Rockford's 2 wins this past week and is now tied for the NACC lead with 3 shutouts so far this season.
The RU men's soccer team is back home for an afternoon match on Wednesday, September 20 against Edgewood College. The match has a scheduled start time of 2 PM at Wedgbury Stadium.
