MILWAUKEE, Wis. - The Rockford University men's basketball team fell 85-64 on the road Wednesday night to the MSOE Raiders. It was a tough game for the Regents, as they never led the entire night. MSOE shot 56.9% from the floor, including 56.0% from three-point range. Rockford did however outrebound MSOE 34-26, but it was not enough to overcome the Raiders' making eight more three-pointers than the Regents. The win means the two teams will split the season series, since Rockford won the previous meeting 95-90 in overtime back in December.
- MSOE scored on its first five possessions, including back-to-back-to-back triples to start the game, to take an early 13-5 lead.
- With Rockford now trailing 20-10, the Regents scored 10 straight points to tie the game. Rockford hit all four of its shot attempts over that span, including back-to-back threes by Tyrese England.
- MSOE would extend its lead up to as many as nine points, but settled on a 44-37 lead at the half after a Carson Cordelli layup at the buzzer.
- Following a Raider bucket to start the second half, Rockford scored six straight points to pull back within three. Jaden Bell scored the first five points, including his only three-pointer of the game.
- Unfortunately, MSOE proceeded to go on a 9-2 run and take a 55-45 lead with 14 minutes left in the game.
- The Raiders extended their lead to as many as 22 points, before ultimately winning by a final score of 85-64.
- Micah Swanson finished with a team-high 14 points, 9 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 block and 1 steal. Swanson is now just 2 rebounds away from 500 for his collegiate career.
- Kevin Diemer added 13 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists and a block.
- Tyrese England had 12 points, 3 rebounds, 2 assists and a block.
