Kaden Finnestad has been named the NACC Special Teams Player of the Week. This is Finnestad's second weekly award of the season, as he was also named to the D3football.com Team of the Week three weeks earlier. Finnestad becomes the first Regent to earn NACC Special Teams Player of the Week honors since the 2019 season.
Kaden Finnestad converted on 8 extra point attempts and both his field goal tries from 25 and 33 yards out in Rockford's 74-45 victory at Concordia Chicago. He also averaged 58.5 yards on his 13 kickoffs, with 4 of them resulting in touchbacks. Finnestad rounded out his busy afternoon with one punt that traveled 36 yards.
The Rockford University football team hits the road again on Saturday, October 19 to face #16 Aurora University. Kickoff is set for 1 PM.
