ROCKFORD, Ill. - The Rockford University women's soccer team fell 4-0 to the MSOE Raiders in a Wednesday afternoon conference match. The Raiders were able to find the back of the net four times in the first half, scoring in the 1st, 12th, 23rd and 32nd minutes of the match. Rockford again struggled to get things going offensively and the Raiders defense held the Regents scoreless. Despite the score, Rockford's defense kept the Raiders in check in the second half, but unfortunately, MSOE was still able to hold on and take the win.
- The Raiders quickly took the lead in just the 1st minute of the match. Elizabeth Kuhn was able to find Grace Quinn for the MSOE score to put the Raiders up 1-0 early.
- MSOE again scored in the 12th minute to double its lead after the Raider's Grace Quinn scored her second goal of the match.
- The Raiders scored twice more before the first half ended as Grace Quinn found Rosario Etcheverria Abuin in the 23rd minute to make it 3-0. As well as a goal from Kit Gormley in the 32nd minute to give MSOE a 4-0 advantage going into the half.
- The Raiders peppered three shots on goal within the first 10 minutes of the second half, but Regent goalkeeper Kaeleigh Taylor was there to save all three.
- MSOE continued to fire shots at the Rockford net, but RU's defense was able to hold strong in the second half and keep the Raiders from extending their lead any further.
- The Raiders were ultimately able to hold Rockford off and eventually take the match 4-0.
