ROCKFORD, Ill. - Rockford University senior forward Kevin Diemer capped off his storied playing career by being selected Third Team All-Region by D3hoops.com on Tuesday afternoon. This is Diemer's third postseason award of the year, as he was previously named First Team All-NACC and selected to the NACC Men's Basketball All-Tournament Team. Diemer is now the only RU men's basketball player ever to be voted to a D3hoops.com All-Region Team multiple times in his career (2020-21: Second Team and 2023-24: Third Team). 

Senior forward Kevin Diemer was recognized for yet another phenomenal year with his Third Team All-Region selection by D3hoops.com. Diemer led the Regents to an 18-9 record, which was Rockford's most wins in a season since 2004-05, and helped lead the team to the fourth-seed in the NACC Tournament and the Regents' first home postseason game and tournament win in three years. Diemer raked in awards throughout year, earning two NACC Player of the Week selections, a NACC All-Tournament Team selection, and he was named First Team All-NACC. He also led the Regents in a trifecta of crucial statistical categories: points (18.3), rebounds (6.6) and assists (3.1). Diemer ended the year in the top ten in the NACC in six categories and was top 15 in another. He finished the year ranked third in the NACC in scoring, fourth in assist to turnover ratio (2.0), eighth in assists and made three-point field goals (2.0), ninth in field goal percentage (47.8%), tenth in rebounding and twelfth in blocks (0.8). He ends is career as one of the top players in the history of the Rockford University men's basketball program. Diemer's 1,575 points and 836 rebounds ranks him seventh and sixth respectively in school history. He is also just one of six players in program history to finish his career with at least 1,500 points and 800 rebounds. 

This is the 23rd year D3hoops.com has named an All-Region team and this year's All-America team will be the 27th annual All-America selections. The D3hoops.com All-American teams, along with those of the respective coaches' associations, are the only ones recognized in the NCAA record book.
