AURORA, Ill. -- The Rockford University women's soccer team was defeated by NACC conference opponent Aurora University on Wednesday evening.
Natasha Toc-Monrroy played all 90 minutes in goal for the Regents, compiling 17 saves on the evening.Â
Six of the seven goals put up by the Spartans were all scored in the first half. Amara Olivas put AU on the board first at the start of the ninth minute. The Spartans scored twice more in the 15th and 25th minutes, to extend their lead to 3-0. AU ended the first half with three goals in the final seven minutes of the first half, with goals in the 33rd, 37th, and 40th minutes to take a 6-0 halftime lead.Â
Anna Corneliusen scored the only goal in the second half for AU in the 57th minute.Â
The Regents will return to action on Saturday, Oct. 25, when they face NACC conference opponent, Milwaukee School of Engineering, for a 3:30 p.m. CDT kickoff.
