GRINNELL, Iowa -- The Rockford University women's basketball team fell to non-conference opponent Grinnell College, 76-52 on Saturday.
Nia Wilkerson led the Regents scoring 20 points.
Te Simpson totaled a double-double with 15 points and corralled 11 boards.
RU started off slow to trail 19-1 to start the game, and trailed at the end of the first quarter, 23-4.
After another slow start in the second quarter, the Regents found themselves down at halftime by 25.
In the second half, RU fought hard to outscore Grinnell in the second half, winning the third and fourth quarters by a score of 35-34.
The Regents will return to action on Tuesday, Nov. 18, at Lawrence University for a 7 p.m. CST tip-off.
